The Soho Show founder Nigel Squires moved from Melbourne to London in the 80s. While working as a sound engineer for a TV post production company based in Soho, Nigel spent his spare time producing and directing music videos and short films. Sound clients included all major UK broadcasters: BBC, ITV, C4, Five, Cartoon Network, Discover Channel…
Nigel worked alongside Carles Riba in post-production and together they formed Planet X Productions, a music composing and production company. This writing partnership resulted in hundreds of music commissions for arts, history, science and documentary programmes many of which were broadcast worldwide. Nigel and Carles worked with numerous composers, Top 10 songwriters and highly respected session players and singers.
Nigel returned to Australia in 2020 and continues to work with Carles Riba, friends made in London and the UK – and a growing number of Australian based musicians, writers and singers.
